An Outdoor Oasis for Girls since 1941
Camp Henry F. Koch has welcomed girls to outdoor fun and adventure for over 80 years!
As Girl Scouts of Southwest Indiana's resident camp facility, Camp Koch covers approximately 500 acres of rugged woodland in the hills along the Ohio River near Cannelton, IN. It is maintained and protected by a year-round resident Ranger, James Loveless, and a Property Operations Manager, Johnathan Lane.
Several hiking trails to points of natural beauty within the camp provide an opportunity to explore nature. The developed area of the camp includes a small lake divided into swimming and boating areas, a dining hall, a playfield, and indoor and outdoor sleeping accommodations.

Accommodations
Camp Koch offers both outdoor and indoor sleeping accommodations.
Traditional Platform Tent Sites
We have three camp units featuring platform tents, a fire pit, and a bathroom area with latrines and sinks.
- Beginner Units: Hilltop and Frontier
These units accommodate 32 people each. The units have water, fire rings, outdoor latrines, platform tents, 32 cots and mattresses, and an equipment shed. - Advanced Unit: Woodhaven
Woodhaven accommodates 24 people and has 24 cots, mattresses, water, a fire ring, outdoor latrines, platform tents, and equipment.

The renovated Trailblazer campsite features four furnished cabins and is currently upgrading its shelter house and fire pit, too!

Troop House
This facility, located on the lower level of the Dining Hall, accommodates 30 people for overnights. It has a kitchen, an indoor restroom with a flush toilet and shower, and two large areas for crafts and activities. A gas furnace or fireplace heats the Troop House. Two beds, cots, sofas, and mattresses are available for sleeping, and there are multiple outlets to accommodate blow-up air mattresses. A screen is available for indoor movies as well.
The Bungalow
This facility accommodates 8-10 people for overnights, and is open seasonally (no heat, but there is an air conditioner). It has a small refrigerator and a restroom with a flush toilet and shower. Two beds, cots, and mattresses are available for sleeping, and there are outlets to blow up air mattresses. A stage and fire pit are behind the building, with a screen to show outdoor movies.
Rental Information
Groups may make arrangements to visit Camp Koch at any time by contacting the council office. Please allow a minimum of four weeks' notice for your reservation request.
If your group would like to do a service project at Camp Koch, contact the Camp Ranger and allow four weeks' notice. The Camp Ranger will provide your group with a list of possible projects and give technical assistance as needed.

*The deposit is for damages and to hold the reservation. The deposit will be returned within 30 days of the stay (less any damages). If a group cancels within 2 weeks of their scheduled visit, the deposit and fee are not refundable, but the fee can be applied to another date. The fee and deposit are refundable if the reservation is canceled more than 2 weeks in advance.
**A lifeguard must be provided by the group utilizing the facility. The lake is only available Memorial Day-Labor Day.
