GSSI Troop Camp Training: May 3-4, 2025
Troop Camp Training certifies volunteers to hold tent camping overnights at campgrounds and other outdoor locations. The training provides hands-on camp training during an overnight experience. Skills covered include advanced fire building, various outdoor cooking techniques, tent care, leave no trace, and much more.
Troop Camp Training is typically offered twice a year, once
in the fall and also in the spring.
WHEN: Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 9:00 AM to Sunday, May 4,
2025, at 12:00 PM Central Time. You must attend the entire
training to be certified.
WHERE: Camp Koch -
Cannelton, Indiana
COST: $20.00 per person to cover
food and training expenses. A $2.50 credit card processing fee will
be added to each submission.
PREREQUISITIES: Fire Building and Basic Outdoor Cooking
- must have completed at least 6 months prior to Troop Camp Training
in order to effectively practice skills.

2025, at 12:00 PM CT.
