From canoeing to archery lessons, and bird-watching to her first hike in the woods, every outdoor activity builds confidence. We offer a variety of camp programs for different ages, interests, and skill levels to help Girl Scouts have an awesome summer they won't forget.
Choose the Camp That's Right for You
Day Camps
Ready for the great outdoors, close to home? Day camp is a great introduction to camping and helps prepare girls for future overnight camp experiences! In southwest Indiana, Girl Scout day camps are held in various counties and are coordinated by local volunteer teams, with each day camp director setting times and locations. Day camps run from 1-5 days or evenings and often include an optional overnight for older girls.
Camporees
One day, one campsite, and Girl Scouts from across the council coming together for outdoor fun. At a camporee, groups rotate through hands-on activities, practice outdoor skills, and meet people from other groups, all in a single day. It’s an easy way for people to get outside together, whether it’s their first time at camp or their tenth. Camp Koch is hosting a Camporee in Spring 2027 as an Open House for Girl Scouts, troops, families, and the public!
Overnight Camps
More than a getaway, overnight summer camps are a chance for girls to explore the outdoors, try new activities, practice independence, learn to work with others, make new friends, and more. At Girl Scouts of Southwest Indiana, overnight camps are held at our camp property in Cannelton, IN—Camp Koch. Learn about Camp Koch and its campgrounds, sleeping accommodations, and history before joining us there!
High Adventure Camps
Ready to go beyond your comfort zone? High adventure camps let older girls take on bigger challenges like rock climbing, canoe trips, backpacking, and more. With experienced staff by their side, girls test their limits, lean on fellow campers, and come home knowing exactly what they’re capable of!
Family and Troop Camps
Pack your sleeping bags and bring the whole crew! Family and troop camps are mini-getaways where troops and families can camp together, share meals around the campfire, and enjoy outdoor activities at their own pace. It’s a chance for girls to build confidence outdoors with the people who cheer them on most, and for adults to make memories right alongside them.

Camp Financial Assistance and Payment Plans
Financial assistance is available for Camp Koch sessions and some day camps!

Not a Girl Scout, but want to go to camp? You still can!
All girls are welcome at Girl Scout camp. If you’re not already a member, there’s a small membership fee that makes you an official Girl Scout for the membership year—just for camp, or more if you’d like! There’s no need to join a troop unless you want to. You can become a Girl Scout just to go to camp, take part in special events, travel, join interest-based clubs, or even earn badges on your own. It’s all about what works for you!
