The Fire Building & Basic Outdoor
Cooking course is designed to equip volunteers with the skills and
confidence to bring the Girl Scout program to life in an outdoor
setting—allowing volunteers to help girls build comfort and excitement
around outdoor experiences.
This course is designed to certify volunteers to conduct outdoor campfires for recreation or cooking. The activities learned could be done at troop meetings, parks, or backyards to familiarize girls with outdoor activities.
This course consists of in-person training and review of required information (online) prior to the in-person training (approximately 30 minutes). Fire Building and Basic Outdoor Cooking is valid for three years and may be recertified online once the certification lapses.

💲 COST: $10 per person (covers food and training expenses) | A $2.50 credit card processing fee will be added to each registration.
