Join GSSI for a fun day at Hovey Lake Fish & Wildlife Area!
Girl Scouts are invited to hike the trails at Twin Swamps, paddle across Hovey Lake, explore the wetlands near the Ohio River, birdwatch and boat in an oxbow lake, and more in the unique natural area nestled in the floodplains of southwestern Indiana!

💲 COST: $7 per person (+ $2.50 processing fee)

⚠️ DEADLINE: September 14, 2026
‼️ REQUIREMENTS: All registered Girl Scout participants (youth and adult) must fill out an Event Permission Form by September 21 in order to attend.
Troops are responsible for ratio and transportation between Twin Swamps and Hovey Lake FWA.
All Daisies will require an adult in each canoe should they choose to boat, per Safety Activity Checkpoints.
Program:
- 12:30 PM CT Hike at Twin Swamps
- 2:00 PM CT Troop travel to Hovey Lake FWA
- 2:15 PM CT Hovey Lake FWA for boating and birding activities
