Join GSSI as we go on a climbing
adventure at Vertical
eXcape!
Join your Girl Scout friends for an adventure that will take you to new heights! Vertical eXcape Staff will greet participants and give a 30-minute introduction with tips on how to climb, what gear is used, and a safety briefing, with a chance for participants to interview climbing experts at the end of the 2-hour session. The climbing session will last 1 hour. Brownies and Juniors will be able to use auto-belay only, while Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors (age 12+) will have use of any of the auto-belay and top rope climbing systems at the facility. Each session has a maximum of 16 participants.
Program:
- 30 minutes of training
- 1 hour of climbing
- 30-minute Q&A with climbing experts
- + 1 extra hour of free climb once your session ends
Girl Scouts will complete several requirements to earn their Climbing Adventure badge (at each level), and will receive info on what was completed post-event.

REQUIREMENTS: All troops MUST provide and maintain their
own girl-to-adult ratio at this event. Brownies and Juniors
will be on auto-belay only, as they cannot belay themselves.
Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors (age 12+) will be able to belay
themselves, but they still must maintain ratio at the event.
All participants MUST fill out the online
Vertical eXcape waiver by March 6 in order to climb.
