Experience global sisterhood by traveling with GSSI in 2027 to the WAGGGS World Center in Mexico: Nuestra Cabaña!
 

GSSI staff and volunteers are planning a trip in 2027 for local Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Girl Scouts and troops to travel to a special program at the WAGGGS World Center in Mexico—Nuestra Cabaña!

👧 WHO: Indiana Girl Scouts, Volunteers, and Adults interested in this travel opportunity who meet the requirements (listed below).

📝 TO REGISTER: Fill out the online interest form to receive the virtual meeting link and info about the trip.

‼️ REQUIREMENTS:

  • Participants must be members of a Girl Scout council active in Indiana (Central Indiana, Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana, Kentuckiana, Northern Indiana-Michiana, Southwest Indiana, or Western Ohio)
  • If traveling as a solo participant, Girl Scouts must be ages 13-18, and in grades 8-12 (2026-2027 school year), including Girl Scouts graduating in Spring 2027. Solo Girl Scouts will be chaperoned by the lead trip volunteer and her assistant chaperone(s).
  • If traveling as a troop, Girl Scouts must be ages 13-18, and in grades 8-12 (2026-2027 school year), including Girl Scouts graduating in Spring 2027. Participating adults must be registered Girl Scout members with a completed background check. Troops will be chaperoned by their participating adults, who will be responsible for maintaining all Girl Scout policies for their troop (girl-to-adult ratio, adult trainings, health forms, etc.).

Important Info:

  • Regular pre-trip meetings will be held for Girl Scouts and Guardians before the trip to discuss traveling with Girl Scouts, prepare for group travel, and more! Those meetings will be required for travelers to attend, and will be held virtually and/or in-person.
  • Financial aid from GSSI is available for local Girl Scouts, and money-earning opportunities will be organized by and for trip participants.
  • Girl Scouts can use "cookie dough" from the Cookie Program to help fund their travel experience!
