Enjoy free admission as Angel Mounds honors the legacy and contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.!
At Angel Mounds State Historic Site in Evansville, visitors can explore the newly transformed interpretive center, which highlights the modern perspectives of native descendants of the Mississippian culture from 1100-1450 A.D. and the special meaning this sacred site has in today’s world. Attendees will also discover the mounds’ cosmological connection and how they were created to align with certain celestial events, such as the summer and winter solstices.
Tours are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and advance registration is encouraged by calling them at 812-853-3956.
