Join us for this volunteer workshop on Girl Scout travel opportunities!
At this FREE workshop, GSSI volunteer Missy Jones will provide attendees with tips and tricks on planning a variety of travel opportunities for your troop. She will review the Girl Scout Travel Progression Chart and provide recommendations on girl-led planning and programming at each level— from local outings to international trips!
NOTE: This workshop will NOT cover GSSI's travel policies and
procedures; that is in Overnights, Trips & Travel Training.
The Overnights, Trips & Travel Training is required to
plan and facilitate day trips, overnights with indoor sleeping
arrangements, backyard tent camping in a registered volunteer's
backyard (a separate training is required to build a campfire), and
national and international travel opportunities.
To
complete or renew your Overnights, Trips & Travel
Certification, review GSSI's
Guide for Travel Volunteers and submit the Overnights,
Trips & Travel Test. GSSI staff reviews test submissions and
notifies volunteers when their certification has been
completed/renewed. Certifications are valid for approximately three
years.
