Honor Flight of Southern Indiana is dedicated to honoring America's senior veterans for all their sacrifices by transporting them to Washington, DC, to visit their memorials free of charge. The 2023 Honor Flight will take place on April 22, with the Welcome Home Parade beginning at 7:45 PM when the veterans return to Evansville Regional Airport.
There are two service opportunities for this event:
- Attend the Welcome Home Parade: The Heroes Welcome Home Parade is open to the public to attend and is a chance to say thank you to military veterans in our community. LEARN MORE
- Become a Parade Escort: Students in grades 6-12 are invited to apply to be a parade escort for a veteran. LEARN MORE (Applications must be submitted by April 18)
