Join Girl Scouts (GSSI) and the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library (EVPL) for a free, monthly book club for all girls in grades K-5 who want to spark or share their love of reading with others!

Books & Badges is a collaboration between GSSI and EVPL to build literacy skills and foster a love of reading with books that connect to one of the 4 pillars of Girl Scouts (life skills, entrepreneurship, STEM, and outdoors).

This is a free, monthly program for all girls in grades K-5 that will take place from 10-11 AM CT on the first Saturday of each month from March until June 2026. Girls who participate will receive 4 free grade-level books and a special patch. Each month, girls will read a different book (either with a facilitator or on their own) that connects to a Girl Scout pillar (life skills, entrepreneurship, STEM, and outdoors), and participate in engaging discussion and story-based activities. Plus, girls who are not current Girl Scouts will get a complimentary membership from now through September 30, 2026.
