Complete a Journey virtually with Girl Scouts from across the country!

Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Girl Scouts are invited to join Girl Scouts of Kentucky's Wilderness Road to learn how to think like a computer programmer to solve problems. They'll explore how computers work, look at the many problems computers can help us to solve, and design solutions for others using computational thinking.

Girl Scouts can earn two awards on this Journey. The first one is called the "Think Like a Programmer" Journey earned by learning how to solve problems like a programmer.

The second one is called the "Take Action" award, earned by creating a Take Action project that solves a problem and uses what you'll learn about computational thinking.

You'll use computational thinking to Take Action. You'll decide who you want to help, identify problems you might want to address, and then choose one problem you'd like to solve.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: December 1, 2024
COST: $30

Girl Scouts will receive Take Action Google Slides to help them with the planning and completion of their Take Action Project for their Journey.
