We’re excited to introduce Rallyhood, a new digital platform designed to bring all your Girl Scout communications, calendars, sign-ups, and shared files into one organized, private space. No more juggling emails, Facebook groups, texts, and links—just one simple place for everything.

Rallies

With Rallyhood, users create "Rallies," which are private, online, digital spaces with communication and coordination tools to make collaboration fun and easy from a shared calendar, message board, and photo gallery to a place to upload and download files.

Platform Features

Rallyhood eliminates the inefficiency of using various communication apps and creates a more consistent way for Girl Scout members and staff to stay organized and engaged online.

Rallyhood incorporates many current communication tools that make it easy to collaborate with other volunteers and parents/guardians.

Rallyhood combines:

Event promotion, management, and registration
Photo and file sharing
Posting and responding
And much more!

Rollout Timeline

We’re rolling out Rallyhood in phases to ensure a smooth transition and give group admins time to get their spaces set up. You’ll receive invitations based on your role and Service Unit (SU).

Early Adopter SUs: Dubois, Perry, Posey, and Vanderburgh

Week of Feb. 3: SU-level volunteers received invites to their Service Unit Rally.
Week of Feb. 24: Troop Co-Leaders received invites to both their Service Unit and troop Rallies.
Week of Mar. 6: All volunteers in these SUs received invites to a Rally titled “All Volunteers of [Your SU].”

All Other SUs

Week of Mar. 24: SU-level volunteers received invites to their Service Unit Rally (and troop Rallies if applicable).
Starting Week of Apr. 14: Troop Co-Leaders will begin receiving invites to their SU and troop Rallies.

Further invitation timing is to be determined.

What You Should Do Now

If you’ve received an invitation: Go ahead and join your Rally spaces! Start exploring and using them to simplify troop and SU communications.
If you're an admin (SU or troop leader): Before diving in, please complete the GSSI Early Adopter Volunteer Rallyhood Admin Training video. It will help you understand the platform and get started with confidence.
If you’re still waiting: Hang tight! You’ll be invited soon. In the meantime, you’re welcome to join the council-wide Rallyhood spaces available under the Rallyhood Resources tab.

Why this Timing?

We’re starting with troop and SU leaders to get everyone up and running faster. As we continue building out Rallyhood, it will become your go-to hub for all GSSI volunteer resources, events, and communication.

- Cookie Exchange: Trade cookie inventory with other leaders in your area.

Indiana Girl Programs | GSCI: This rally shows all programs, including travel opportunities, throughout the state of Indiana. Girl Scouts of Central Indiana host this rally.

Service Units and Troops Hub | GSSI

All Volunteers | GSSI (Invite-Only): Work together with volunteers across the council and receive leader-specific updates from the council.
Service Unit Teams | GSSI (Invite-Only)
Troops are able to create their own, private rally for their Girl Scouts, families, and volunteers to communicate through!
Other Rallies include one for each SU, but those are INVITE-ONLY!

Rallyhood FAQs

What is Rallyhood for? How will it help me, my Service Unit, and/or my troop? toggle arrow

The purpose of Rallyhood is to make the day-to-day responsibilities of our members and volunteers easier and to build a more connected Girl Scout community. The Rallyhood platform combines the functionality of tools like Eventbrite, SignUp Genius, Shutterfly, Facebook, Flickr, Google Calendar, Google Forms, and Survey Monkey in one place. It seamlessly integrates so many of the functions we all need — communication, calendaring, file sharing, surveys, and payment — and that’s just a partial list! Service Units and troops can customize their sites with photos and information, creating space for volunteers and parents to communicate.

Why did our Council choose Rallyhood? toggle arrow

Our Council launched Rallyhood to provide an additional level of support to our members, volunteers, service units, and troops at a time when staying connected online is more important than ever. Rallyhood has been working with Girl Scout councils for 5+ years—they’re familiar with the Girl Scout movement and the needs of our volunteers. In fact, Rallyhood has worked directly with Council staff and volunteers to build out functionality that addresses our organization’s unique needs. Rallyhood has created an ecosystem customized to our Council and volunteer groups and will continue to work with Council staff to improve how the system works for our families and volunteers.

How is Rallyhood different from other apps? toggle arrow

We have heard from many volunteers that using fragmented tools creates lots of challenges and makes the work we all do difficult. A key benefit of Rallyhood is that it helps us take a more streamlined approach. The intent is to have one platform with all the tools and all our Council groups in one place. It provides us with a council-wide solution that brings all of our groups, troops, committees, and forums together on one platform to create a more consistent and efficient Girl Scout experience for all of us.

Our Council covers the cost of using Rallyhood, so members can enjoy and use it for free!

How does a Rallyhood community work? toggle arrow

There are a number of council-level community hubs categorized by types of volunteer roles and activities where council staff will post content for volunteer groups or Girl Scout families. In addition to these council-level Rallyhood communities, each service unit may have its own community hub with additional rallies (sub-groups) within it, such as rallies for troop leaders, troop cookie managers, families, event coordinators, day camp/encampment volunteer committees, and others that are specific to that service unit. Within these community hubs and rallies, a service unit or troop can promote events, post information, start conversations, take registration for activities, create calendars, etc.

Who can see my Rallyhood community hubs and rallies? toggle arrow

Community hubs and rallies can be set to public or private. If set to public, anyone could find that hub or rally in a search, join it, and access content. If set to private, an individual would need to be invited in order to access the hub or rally. This way you can control who is a member of individual rallies, such as inviting all troop cookie managers within your service unit to a rally specific to them.

What are the fees associated with using the payment and special events tools in Rallyhood? toggle arrow

Rallyhood partners with Stripe to offer a safe, secure, and easy way to collect payments. Rallyhood charges a platform fee of 2.9% to help cover costs for things like development of functionality, maintenance of the technology, and security for users.

Stripe charges a credit card processing fee of 2.9% + $.30 per transaction. Organizers have a live calculation of any associated fees (platform and credit card processing) right on the setup page. As organizers are creating tickets or payment requests, they can see exactly what the fees might be without any guessing.

Rallyhood tries to keep fees as low and fair as possible. For comparison, fees on a $10 ticket in Rallyhood are $.91 vs. $2.24 in Eventbrite, which is almost 2.5 times higher.
