Every girl deserves a chance to see the world. Girl Scouts offers many different travel opportunities so girls can see new places, meetnew people, and learn about different cultures and ideas. Whether exploring their own neighborhoods, going on overnight camping trips, participating in community service projects, or flying to one of the four world centers, Girl Scouts are continually expanding their horizons. GSSI Disney Trip 2013 GSSI is planning a 7 day trip to Disney World in 2013. We will leave the Evansville area on June 8, 2013 and return June 14, 2013. The trip will include various parks, where girls will work on Journeys and badges, and, or course, time at Disney World. The estimated cost is between $800-$900 per person. GSSI International Trip 2015
Girl Scouts of Southwest Indiana will be traveling to the essential European spots during the summer of 2015, and you won’t want to miss it. Stops include Paris, London, Rome, Florence, Venice, and Switzerland! Click here for Interest Indicator you can complete and submit if you are interested in the trip. Adults are welcome on the trip too.Estimated travel cost per person for an 11 day trip: $5,500 - $6,000 (rates will depend on costs at the time of travel in 2015) Cookie Dough may be used and fundraisers will be offered. All of the information you’ll need to plan a trip to Savannah is located on the Birthplace website. Don’t forget that troops/groups must have a Trip Application approved, prior to traveling out of council. WAGGGS Four World Centers Planning on traveling internationally? Make it a point to visit one of WAGGGS four world centers and connect with sister Girl Scouts and Girl Guides from other countries. Our Cabaña in Mexico, Our Chalet in Switzerland, Pax Lodge in England, and Sangam in India are owned and operated by the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). The centers offer comfortable, inexpensive and safe accommodations for Girl Scouts and Girl Guides for short stays, long term visits, or trainings and seminars.
